HOVER People

Becoming a HOVER Person is easy. To ensure safety for everyone it is a membership system with a careful approval process that is appropriate to your local community. One way to do this would be for all applicants, as part of their application, to provide us with two personal references and authorise us to carry out a police check. We would use this to confirm that they have a good driving record, no history of violent crime or petty theft, and can be expected to be a safe member of HOVER. The exact form of security check will be determined for each community.

Each HOVER Person will be issued with a HOVER ID, a photo ID membership card. To achieve and maintain the feeling of safety, everyone participating in a HOVER Trip should make it a habit to show their HOVER ID to each other before getting into the car. The car will be identifiable by a decal or similar.
